IT Vizion @ Aqua Digital 2023

As digital transformation continues to shape the world of industry, companies are increasingly turning to industrial digitalization and data analytics to stay ahead of the curve. Recently, our company attended the Aqua Digital 2023 International Conference, where the latest trends and technologies in this field were discussed. Here are some key takeaways from the event. Our colleague, Daniel Daia, presented best practices for industrial digitalization and data analytics that can help service providers in their quest for digital transformation. Starting from the correct way to digitalize to collecting and storing plant data, some of the topics he covered were:

• Energy efficiency
• Process optimization
• Asset health
• Quality and safety
• Regulatory reporting

One of the main points emphasized at the conference was that digital transformation is not just about implementing new technologies, but also about rethinking the way processes work. For example, companies need to create a digital culture that encourages innovation and collaboration.

Another major theme of the conference was the importance of data in industrial digitalization. Companies need to collect, analyze, and act on data in real-time to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. This has to be done in compliance with industrial standards like ISA 95. This requires the use of advanced analytics tools such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, which can help identify patterns and insights that might be missed by human analysts.

Adrian Cococeanu, Head of Timisoara Water Treatment Plant, talked about Aquatim digitalization status, including the Seeq Proof of Value use cases developed together with IT Vizion, which are Chemical Dosing Consumption and Energy Efficiency. 

We introduced our partner, CIPO Cloud Software, which is a Construction Management Software for Owners, Engineers, and Project Managers on an integrated platform. This was a great opportunity to show how CIPO is used in the United States Water Districts and how they are transforming their processes to gain efficiency.
